Privacy statement
Audirium B.V. respects your privacy and handles personal data with care. In this statement we explain which data we collect, why, and how we protect it.
1. Data controller
Audirium B.V. is responsible for the processing of personal data as described in this privacy statement.
Visiting address: Tundradal 3, 3124 NG Schiedam, the Netherlands. Chamber of Commerce (KvK): 73543616. VAT: NL859568568B01.
2. Which data do we collect?
We collect data that you provide to us yourself, plus a limited set of technical data:
- Name, email address, organisation and message (via the contact form). We also store the IP address of that submission, as spam protection and to be able to trace misuse of the form.
- Account details (when using our applications through the Apps Portal)
- Technical data required for the applications to work (session information, preferences)
- Purchase details when you buy a course at Audirium Academy: your email address, your name if you enter it, the product purchased and the amount, and for a business purchase your company name, billing address and (optionally) VAT number. We do not receive your bank details; those stay with our payment service provider.
- Only if you consent via the cookie banner: visit statistics (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity) and an internal visitor ID for campaign attribution. See our cookie statement for the full overview.
3. How do we use your data?
- To answer your contact request
- To provide access to our applications
- To improve our services, including on the basis of anonymised or consent-based visit statistics
- To send you relevant information (only with your consent)
4. Retention period
We do not retain your data longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. Contact form messages are kept for a maximum of 12 months. Account details are kept for as long as your account is active.
Purchase details are an exception: receipts and invoices form part of our accounting records, and tax legislation requires us to keep those for seven years. For that data we therefore cannot fully honour a deletion request while that period is running.
5. Sharing with third parties
We do not share your personal data with third parties, unless this is necessary for the performance of our services or we are legally obliged to do so. With each processor below we have a data processing agreement, or their standard terms apply.
- Mollie B.V. (Amsterdam), our payment service provider. When you buy a course, Mollie processes your payment details; from Mollie we receive only whether the payment succeeded, the amount and a payment reference. For that processing Mollie is itself the data controller and applies its own privacy statement.
- Google Ireland Limited (Google Analytics 4), only after your consent for statistics cookies. IP addresses are processed anonymised.
- Microsoft (Clarity, session recording for usage analysis), only after your consent for statistics cookies, and Microsoft 365 for our business email.
- Cloudflare, Inc., for protection against abuse and faster delivery of the website (CDN). Cloudflare sees traffic data for every visit, regardless of your cookie choice.
- Hetzner Online GmbH (Nuremberg, Germany), our hosting provider. The website and applications run on servers in Germany.
6. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. These include:
- SSL/TLS encryption for all communication
- Hashed passwords (bcrypt)
- Role-based access control
- Regular security assessments
7. Cookies
Our website uses functional cookies that are necessary for the site and applications to work (session cookies, your cookie preference). Statistics cookies from Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity are loaded only after your explicit consent via the cookie banner; if you do not choose "Accept", these stay off and we clear any statistics cookies set earlier. The full overview with cookie names and retention periods is in our cookie statement.
8. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Request access to your personal data
- Request correction or deletion
- Object to the processing
- Lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens)
Exercising your data rights
Would you like to exercise your rights as a data subject? You can submit a request for:
- Access, an overview of the data we process about you
- Correction, amending incorrect or incomplete data
- Deletion, removing your account and the associated data
- Export, a copy of your data in a commonly used format
- Restriction or objection, limiting or stopping certain processing
Send your request by email to info@audirium.net. State clearly which type of request it concerns and your username or email address. We respond within 30 days.
We may verify your identity before processing your request, in order to prevent misuse.
9. Terms and contact
For the terms under which we provide our services, see our terms and conditions.
