The challenge
New standards, and no one telling you where you stand
A small or newly formed audit function has to meet the same standards as a department of twenty auditors. Here's what gets in the way, and what the self-scan does about it.
The standards are new, your position isn't
An external quality assessment gives you an answer, but takes weeks and starts with a quote. The self-scan gives you a first, evidence-based picture within fifteen minutes, one you can build on yourself.
A score with no follow-up helps no one
A number only means something once you know what to do with it. The gap report names your three weakest points in plain language, each with the work product that closes it: a charter, an audit strategy, a risk-based audit plan.
You can't benchmark against made-up figures
Many diagnostics show a national average no one can verify. While there aren't enough participants for a fair comparison, this scan says so, rather than suggesting a number.

Why this is different
Four choices you'll see on screen
Our own wording, not the standard retyped
The questions and gap texts are written in our own words. That's not a promise but a measured property: a fixed check compares everything the scan publishes against the standards text and flags any match of eight consecutive words or more.
Honest about what we don't know
Too few participants means no comparison, shown with the count. We'd rather show an empty field than a figure that trips you up in an audit committee meeting.
Your report stays yours
You can take the outcome with you without anything staying behind on our end. Create an account later, and it takes over the scan, history included, so a year from now you can see what's changed.
European hosting
Your data sits on European servers, with strict separation per organisation and no transfer outside the EU.

How it works
From fifteen questions to a gap report you can use, in four steps.
Answer fifteen questions
Five domains: purpose, ethics, governance, management of the function and performance. For each question you choose between not present, developing, largely conformant and fully conformant.

You get an overall score and a score per domain, so it's immediately clear which domain is lagging.
Read the gap report
Your three weakest points, each with the standard it relates to and the work product that closes the gap.
Keep it, or don't
The scan stays saved under a guest session. Want to hold on to it and re-measure later? Create an account and it takes over the scan. The library holds templates, some of which are free to download.
